    LOCATION:  1451 10th Street, Sarasota, FL 

     

    Available shifts:

    *FT, M-F 3pm-11pm

    *PT, Weekend - Overnight

    *PT, Weekend - Day

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a mental health field.

     

    POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking FT 3pm-11pm, and PT weekends.Responsible for the screening, assessment, and intake of involuntary and voluntary clients for admission to the Crisis Stabilization Unit under the Florida Mental Health Act (Baker Act).  Requires the ability to actively listen to clients in the assessment and intake process, monitor client behavior to ensure client and staff safety, and verbally de-escalate clients as required. Other duties include: Coordinating care with law enforcement, hospitals, and other community health care providers; ensuring intake documentation is in compliance with State and ACHA standards; obtain pre-authorizations from insurers; provide information about crisis stabilization services to incoming callers and/or refer callers to appropriate CBH program or outside agencies as applicable.  Familiarity with the Florida Mental Health Act (Baker Act) preferred.
